CTP CI Program Introduction and Benefits
Telecommunications Industry leaders have been endorsing and accepting the Convergence Technologies Professional exam as validation of convergence skills. In today's digital economy it is more important than ever for individuals to obtain solid technical training skills and certified proof of their skills to secure the best job opportunities that are currently available. Industry acceptance of the CTP credential has created a strong demand for qualified instructors. Certification Partners is responding by creating the CTP Certified Instructor certification.
As a CTP Certified Instructor (CI), you will have an opportunity to work with a wide range of convergence technologies and to play an important role in providing outstanding skills training for individuals across the world. As a CI, you possess excellent instructional skills and are certified by Certification Partners to deliver convergence job skills training. All CIs are eligible to work for any of the CTP Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) or CTP Authorized Academic Partners (AAPs) around the world. Membership in the CI program includes the following benefits:
- Access to online instructor community: All CIs gain access to a wide range of current information and tools that will help you maximize your skills as a CTP Certified Instructor. These tools include access to comprehensive certification and course preparation materials, CTP program and industry information, discussion forum opportunities with other CIs across the world, and much more.
- Exclusive CI logo usage: All CIs have exclusive rights to use the CI logo for web sites, business cards, marketing materials, and other documentation. The CI logo is available for download from the CTP Candidate Information Center.
- Program Support: CIs are supported by Certification Partners staff members who are available to answer any of your questions and support your needs worldwide.
Requirements for CI status
To become a CTP Certified Instructor, you must meet several requirements. These requirements are explained in more detail in the CTP Certified Instructor Program Guide.
- Submit the online CTP Certified Instructor Application.
- Complete the CTP Certification Agreement
- Pass the CTP Exam (TT0-201)
- Provide proof of instructional skills:
- Technical Trainer certification (MCT, CNI, CTT+, etc)
- Accredited teaching certification
- Train-the-trainer certificate
- Letter of recommendation from current employer, confirming your instructional experience
